Start with the right tool

Use the pen for freehand drawing, the eraser for cleanup, templates for common layouts, and the line or shape tools when you need neat geometry. For diagrams, a slightly larger brush size makes exported PNG files easier to read.

Control color and opacity

Pick from the default swatches or use the custom color picker. Lower opacity is useful for highlighting, shading, or placing rough marks behind a cleaner final line.

Simple workflow for clean sketches

  1. Choose a background color before you start. White works best for notes, while transparent is useful for overlays.
  2. Block out the main idea with a medium brush size.
  3. Use Undo or Redo while refining your lines.
  4. Add rectangles, circles, straight lines, or short text labels for structure.
  5. Export the final image with Save PNG.

When to use a browser drawing tool

A lightweight online drawing canvas is useful when you do not need a full professional illustration app. It is best for quick visual communication: brainstorming layouts, annotating ideas in a meeting, drafting icons, planning a poster, or creating a simple image for a document.

PNG export tips

If the drawing will be used in a document, choose a white background before saving. If the drawing will be placed on top of another design, use a transparent background and keep the edges clean. Larger brush sizes usually survive compression and resizing better than very thin strokes.

Privacy note

Your drawing is stored in your browser's local storage so refreshes are less risky. The site does not require an account, and the drawing tool does not upload your canvas to a server.
